Want to be able to handle difficult situations with less stress, pain and anxiety?

Want to be as kind to yourself as you are to dear friends who face disappointment, fear, and conflict?

Join a limited number (35) of students, staff and faculty for classes on:

MINDFUL SELF COMPASSION

MSC is an 6 week course that teaches you how to:

• DECREASE anxiety

• DECREASE depression and stress

• INCREASE relationship satisfaction

• INCREASE healthy habits like diet and exercise

• INCREASE emotional wellbeing

MSC, a researched-based program, is an adventure and an experiment in self-discovery and self-transformation. You will learn over 25 simple ways that will enable you to call on your own inner resources to soothe yourself in times of stress or pain.

Day and Time:  Thursdays at noon.

Connection Information:  You will get connection information from the teacher prior to the first class.

 

Teachers:

Angelike Dexter

Angelike Dexter is a committed mindful awareness practitioner and former attorney. Because her own life has been deeply changed by the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) course, Angelike is honored to have been trained in teaching MSC and to share the MSC curriculum with others. Additionally, Angelike currently teaches mindfulness and compassion to children, parents and families in the greater L.A. area.

Dina Abou Aish

Dina has been a dedicated meditation practitioner since 2006 and is an educator by profession.  She trained in Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) with the developers of the program, Chris Germer and Kristen Neff, as well as senior teachers Michelle Becker and Steve Hickman.  Dina loves teaching MSC—as it has made a profound shift in the quality of her own practice and life experience.
