Mindfulness Lab

This is an introduction to creating and incorporating an effective and ongoing mindfulness practice in all aspects of your life. This 5-week class is appropriate for beginners as well as anyone who want to refresh the fundamentals of their practice.

In this class you will learn to enhance your performance with improved emotional intelligence, motivation, and social skills. You will also reduce your stress and gain more happiness. Here is what you will learn:

Location and Time: This class will meet in the Fishbowl in the University Religious Center.

Teacher: Maureen Shannon-Chapple has been a practitioner of yoga and meditation since her teenage years. Her professional life has included classroom teaching, parenting trainings, adult education and college teaching. She is a 2008 graduate of Spirit Rock Meditation Center’s Community Dharma Leader Training, and has led groups at InsightLA’s, including the Family Program, mindfulness classes, and the weekly Tuesday Night Sitting Group at Loyola Marymount University. Maureen co-leads, with Trudy Goodman, ILA’s Facilitator Training Program. She also teaches in the Mindful USC program and other community sites.
