Mindful Self-Compassion Half-Day Retreat – In Person
Let’s come together to set a self-compassionate tone for the New Year! This Saturday daylong retreat offers a supportive space to engage—or re-engage—with the practice of mindful self-compassion, both in meditation and in daily life. Together, we’ll explore the three core Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) meditations along with a variety of practices designed to help you soften self-judgment, meet difficulty with kindness, and cultivate a more caring relationship with yourself.

This daylong retreat offers a supportive space to engage—or re-engage—with the practice of mindful self-compassion, both in meditation and in daily life. Together, we’ll explore the three core Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) meditations along with a variety of practices designed to help you soften self-judgment, meet difficulty with kindness, and cultivate a more caring relationship with yourself.
During the retreat, we will:
-
Practice a compassionate body scan (lying down or seated—yoga mats will be provided, but feel free to bring your own).
-
Explore mindful walking, both indoors and outside, so comfortable shoes and layers are recommended.
-
Enjoy a savoring food exercise. Snacks will be provided, and you’re welcome to bring something you love—especially if you have dietary needs or a particular food you’d enjoy savoring slowly.
- Enjoy silence. Most of our time together will be held in silence, with guidance offered by the teachers throughout the day. The slower pace often feels deeply restorative, so you may want to leave the rest of your day as spacious and quiet as possible.
We look forward to practicing with you and creating a gentle, supportive environment where you can rest, reflect, and reconnect with your own and others’ capacity for compassion.
