Technology, Transformation, and Mindfulness: A Community Session (Virtual)
Join us for an informative and reflective community session exploring technology, transformation, and finding stability amid change through mindful awareness practice.
We’re living through an extraordinary era of transformation and unprecedented technological change. Artificial intelligence is reshaping our workplaces and classrooms, and constant connectivity has become our baseline. The pace of change can feel overwhelming—raising new questions and anxieties about our evolving personal, academic and professional roles, our well-being, and what it means to be human in a digital age.
This session will offer a grounding in today’s technology landscape and invite your questions about AI and technology:
– What are you curious about?
– What keeps you up at night?
– Are you feeling weighed down by the constant demands of technology?
– What practices can support resilience and reflection in a world that rarely pauses?
– How can mindfulness help us meet change with steadiness and wisdom?
We’ll begin with an overview of current technological shifts, followed by an open conversation about your experiences, curiosities, and concerns. We’ll close with a mindful awareness meditation to integrate insights and reconnect with presence.
Your participation will also help shape a future Mindful USC course offering in Spring 2026 on technology, transformation, and human flourishing. This session is for anyone navigating these questions, whether technology excites you, terrifies you, or leaves you somewhere in between.
We hope you will join us for this timely community session led by Elizabeth Rothman, USC Gould School of Law and Allyson Pimentel, Director, Mindful USC.
