Elizabeth Rothman teaches technology law at USC and brings twenty years of meditation and healing arts practice to exploring technological transformation.
Elizabeth Rothman is a Los Angeles-based attorney. She teaches technology and law courses at USC Gould School of Law and writes extensively on how AI and technological innovation intersects with the law, society, and human wellbeing. She is co-editor of the Elgar Concise Encyclopedia of Artificial Intelligence and the Law.
In addition to her legal and technology work, Elizabeth has over twenty years of personal practice in meditation and professional experience in the healing arts. This background informs her holistic approach to understanding the intersection of technology, human wellbeing, and transformation.
Elizabeth also teaches a specialized certificate course for Harvard Law School and the World Intellectual Property Organization on patent law and global public health, and advises organizations worldwide on privacy, safety, and governance in digital environments. She holds a JD from Lewis & Clark Law School and certificates in AI policy, blockchain solutions, and an executive certificate from MIT in Artificial Intelligence and Business Strategy.
