CLICK! – Nurture Relationships

In this 5 week non-credit course open to all USC students, we’ll learn to CLICK —a hyper- contextual process of nurturing the relationships with ourselves and each other that promotes thriving at USC and beyond.

In a discussion-driven small group, we will practice connecting strategies and use our own experiences to explore our social relationships.

Specifically, we will become more aware of our:

  • Connecting stories
  • Vision for our relationships
  • Strengths and obstacles in connecting
  • Practices and habits that cultivate connection
  • Potential to connect through our current spaces, networks, and schedules

Come craft your empowered relational action plan this semester as we learn to CLICK.

Location and Time: Tuesdays, 5pm-6:30pm, online

Teacher: Cat Moore is USC’s Director of Belonging, a Friendship Expert, Community Maker, Consultant, Writer and Speaker. She is passionate about empowering people to connect, discover each other’s awesomeness, and create interdependent lives at home, work, school, and play. She studied the Human Condition at USC with the late Dr. Dallas Willard and at the University of Edinburgh specializing in the ethical conditions for diverse community and how culture changes through relationships nurtured in public spaces. After partnering with the Los Angeles Unified School District to analyze the role of relationships in systemic change, she went on to direct communications for a non-profit that helps neighbors to build bridges of caring relationship. But her greatest learning in relationship-making grew from her role as Mother Clucker of the Coop, a grassroots movement of friend-making in public spaces. For nearly a decade, her team occupied the cafes of northeast LA aiming to end loneliness and divisiveness through the power of presence, listening, and other micro-gestures of friendliness. Developing the CLICK™ method of connecting on the ground amongst people across age, wage, and life stage and across social divides, inspired Cat to found Connectors Consulting to help even more people craft relationship-centric lives and to empower leaders to humanize their systems and cultures to make people the bottom line. Her CLICK™ methodology has been studied by various universities and her work has received national grants.
