Mindfulness Lab 1: Essentials of Mindfulness – Virtual
Would you like to learn how to meditate? Mindfulness Lab 1 is the foundational class for learning the essentials of mindfulness meditation. This is a special opportunity to learn and practice with Mindful USC Founder and Teacher Emeritus, Allen Weiss. We are delighted that Allen will be returning to teach this introductory class—a meaningful opportunity to begin or renew your mindfulness practice with our program’s founding teacher!
This 5-week series includes teachings by the instructor, periods of guided meditation, and opportunities for sharing in a warm, supportive environment. It is designed for those who would like to begin a mindfulness practice, refresh an existing practice, or are seeking more training in the basics of mindfulness. Topics include:
- An overview of mindfulness
- Mindfulness of the body
- Working with anxiety and difficult thoughts and emotions
- Cultivating positive emotions
- Obstacles to mindfulness
- Bringing mindfulness into daily life
